Job Accountabilities
Understand fully all of the Specifications/Drawing documents and maintain up-to-date registers where appropriate for drawings specifications, site instructions/variations.
Prepare the permanent material schedule and raise requisitions for same, review/
update on regular basis.
Review plant / labour allocation and advise Project Management of any future potential problems; review/prepare daily orders for asphalt/wet mix/ concrete etc.
Initiate simple cost / value comparison formulae and implement through Site Engineers.
Prepare detailed schedules of any temporary works schemes requiring proprietary
equipment and submit to site agent/project manager.
Ensure method statement and risk assessment are in place for all tasks (to be
agreed with PM) involved, that should be briefed to all operatives and supervisors.
Prepare daily site reports; carry out daily site walk ensuring work area is neat, organized and safe to work and encourage/promote safe site working practices.
Conduct periodic factory inspection at Suppliers’ facilities during equipment
manufacture to ensure compliance with Specification and local regulations.
Carry out final pre-delivery inspections of the same equipment.
Perform all activities in compliance with the Company Health, Safety and
Environmental Management System (HSEMS) and the assigned specific
responsibilities and comply with and implement and local laws and Client requirements related to Health, Safety and Environmental aspects at work place as per the bestowed authority and responsibility.
Any other ad hoc administrative duty as requested by the Line Manager or Management staff.
Qualification and Education
Degree in Engineering
Experience
5+ years of experience with a construction company, Experience in Infrastructure Works in UAE is mandatory
